What you looking for? Spynook Blackbird or the Pentagon's Blackbird Spy Plane? If you are a heavy metal fan you might prefer the Pentagon Spy Plane. I am a feathered, slow flying, blackbird spy , though I did learn a heavy metal song from a lad with red hair who was playing his guitar in the woods. Alfie, the security guard, thought it was a joke and joined in the singing with us. It was great fun and I have sampled some ideas for my own repertoire but not quite my style. Alfie sings a bit himself but usually without growling and banging like the heavy metal. At Spynook we listen to the radio and sing along with the melodies. Alfie would be okay only he is a bit of a fascist, and he is friendly with SpyCat who was banned from Spynook but keeps slipping back with him when he comes from Art Asylum where Alfie also works as a security guard. Sometimes he makes offensive remarks I would rather not repeat but I expect he is more careful about what says when he is working at Art Asylum because they have some posh loonies there. Alfie says he would like to work at the Pentagon because they have loads of money and spend it on stuff that just gets thrown out . He says they discontinued the Blackbird Spy Plane because it was too expensive to fly and they had to do some cost cuts so they could increase their budget on other things. Alfie says that is the way they do things in the USA and most other places they have globalised. Though they have not globalised Spookwoods yet and I hope they won't. Alfie says they used to come here but they moved somewhere else. He seems to have mixed feelings about America. Then he has mixed feelings about most things, but he does bring me pears from Art Asylum. Almost everything in Spynook comes from Art Asylum. I think we get quite enough from them without Alfie working for the Pentagon. Spynook would not be big enough for all the stuff he would nick from them. Anyway Pentagon is a long way off and Alfie hasn't got wings and there would no point in his nicking a Blackbird Spyplane if it was so expensive to fly. Besides planes are bad for the environment whereas I am an asset and I Alfie would lock Spycat in Art Asylum cellars where he would be quite happy detecting and eliminating mice. But I do enjoy the pears Alfie brings and listening to him when he is talking sensibly. He says that one of his responsibilities as security guard is to look out for terrorists using Spookwoods for training and he has to watch in case they try to infiltrate Art Asylum. So I keep a look out for what is going on round Spynook and give warning calls if I see anything suspicious. Sometimes we get loonies from Art Asylum wandering about -like the guy who taught me Al to sing the Heavy Metal song. Alfie says that the terrorists are usually more serious and disciplined than Art Asylum loonies but they do use disguises so you have to be vigilant. He says that Spookwoods used to be used for military training but the soldiers kept going missing and it was trouble trying to keep track of them. We get quite a lot of horses on the bridle paths and they don't get lost. Mostly they have riders and come from local stables like Art Asylum. Dogs get lost and so do the Art Asylum loonies and Alfie takes them back when we find them. He is usually nice with the loonies, but then he is a bit of a loony himself. Are you a loony? I hope you are not a terrorist as I could get into trouble for talking to you but you look more like a loony than a terrorist and I quite like Art Asylum loonies. Perhaps you might remember to bring me a pear next time you come but don't worry if you forget. It is my job as a Spynooker to take care of the loonies in the Woods. So you will be all right with me watching out for you.
